The Committee of the Whole of the Board of Library Trustees of the City of Crystal Lake will be holding an in person meeting at the library to consider essential business.

Enjoy story time on a working farm! See the farm animals, and browse and purchase from the farm market. There is a coin-fed grain dispenser available to feed the chickens. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and be ready for some fun!

Do you need a little help with your smartphone, tablet, laptop or e-reader? Bring your device and your questions to this drop-in event. CLPL staff will help you navigate your device and the library's digital resources.

Calling all crafters! Pack up your current projects and head over to the library for a casual program where you can socialize with other makers while you work. Registration encouraged.

A coalition of McHenry County public libraries is pleased to host William Kent Krueger at 2 pm on Sunday, Sept. 8 at the Luecht Auditorium at McHenry County College.

Matter of Balance (MOB) is specifically designed to reduce the fear of falling and improve activity for age 60+.  The program includes eight classes that run up to two-hours each session,  presented to a small group of 8-12 participants

Join Youth Services staff for a surprise hands-on activity. Crafts, games, building, robots - the activity will change every week! This is a drop-in program, no registration is required.

Have you read The Wild Robot by Peter Brown? Are you looking forward to the movie? We'll celebrate the movie's release with robot crafts and activities. Registration with a CLPL card is required.

Grab your grown-up and come to Youth Services to learn simple cross stitch. Take home a finished project that you have made together. Registration with a CLPL card is required. 

A screening and discussion of  What the Constitution Means to Me. This program is co-sponsored by the American Association of University Women Crystal Lake Branch.

October is "Adopt a Shelter Dog" month. Help those pups get enrichment while they wait for their forever homes and upcycle old T-shirts into chew toys for shelter dogs!
