Grab your grown-up and come to Youth Services to learn simple embroidery stitches and hand sewing. Take home a finished project that you have made together. Registration with a CLPL card is required.

Join Ms. Seanine for a special summer book club. Participants will vote on which books we'll read off the 2025 Rebecca Caudill Book Award nominee list. We will have snacks as we discuss each book. Registration with a CLPL card is required.

Join us at Madoli Farms for an energetic story time on a working farm. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and be ready for some fun!

Ms. Dawn and Ms. Ashlee will lead this book club where participants will vote on which books to read off the Bluestem 2025 nominee list! The club will meet weekly to discuss the selected books and do fun activities. Snacks will be provided.

Learn the basics of knitting in this multi-generational class. Bring your own size 8 knitting needles (circular or straight). We’ll provide the yarn. Participants in grades 5-8 must be accompanied by an adult. CLPL cardholders only.

Enjoy a Library storytime at Dream Riders TLC, 4701 N. Oak St., Crystal Lake. We will share stories and meet special horses that work with kids. This program will take place outdoors and will be held weather permitting.
