Led by Physical Therapist Dana Tress, this class is designed to help you improve balance, strength, and confidence to reduce your risk of falls. Through practical tips, guided movement, and education on home safety and body mechanics, you'll learn how to stay active and independent safely. Perfect for anyone feeling unsteady on their feet or wanting to be proactive in fall prevention, this interactive session includes demonstrations, take-home resources, and time for Q&A.
Dana Tress graduated Summa Cum Laude with her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Bradley University in 1997 and joined Smith Physical Therapy in March of 2017. She went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership after joining the company. Dana is also an ambassador and leadership team member for VeDA (the Vestibular Disorder Association), and instructs courses in neurological rehabilitation and human lifespan development at McHenry County College.
While she enjoys working with all patients, Dana has focused more than half of her career on extensive continuing education and training to effectively treat individuals living with dizziness, vertigo, balance disorders, concussions, high fall risk, headaches and TMJ disorders.
