Event Details
What should you do when an unexpected medical emergency at home—such as a fall—may require an urgent response and medical care? How can you prepare to remain safely at home, or understand next steps if additional support becomes necessary?
Certified Dementia and Community Educator Lynne O’Malley narrates this event, which follows the journey of an older adult resident who encounters an unexpected medical emergency at home, providing a realistic and relatable perspective on navigating emergencies, understanding the healthcare continuum, and planning for safe aging at home.
This program is especially beneficial for older adult residents living on their own, those caring for an older loved one, and adult children who want to understand the process and available options before a crisis occurs. Participants will learn about local services, ask questions, and gather essential information to support successful aging at home in the Crystal Lake community.
This is a free educational event for older adult residents, family members, and caregivers. Registration is encouraged.
